—Upon the next day, the group heads out on northern roads

Jubei- ” What’re we out here for again?”

Dara- “According to the quest details, a wagon of goods was supposed to make it over to the town of Meadowshade”

Circe— “The wagon containing the items never made it there. The caravan hands haven’t been seen either.”

Jubei— ” Hm…I’ve seen something like this before back home.The word they’d use for this-“

Donna— ” HIGHWAYGUY!!!!”

Dar —

“The word is highwayman, but, yes “

Jubei— ” We shoud keep our eyes peeled. Bandits always have some kind trap set up!”

Dara— ” Circe…are you certain we should venture this far away from the road?”

Jubei— “Hey, there’s a beat up wagon!”

Circe-

“…

” Looks like we found a lead”

Dara— “This looks a bit odd.”

“We should investigate the area carefully.”

-The stillness is disrupted by the sound of wood splitting, as Donna cleaves the wagon into two pieces with her axe

Dara-“But…why..?”

Donna-

” Our job was to get the wagon.”

Circe— ” “Get”, as in, locate the people who were driving it.”

Donna- ” Ohhh okay gotcha”

Dara— ” That still doesn’t explain why she just attacked the wagon like that!!! “

Jubei— ” You hear that?”

Circe- “Another lead.”

Jubei- ” Hey!!! you can come out!! We’re here to save you!! come out from behind that log!!”

-From afar, behind fallen tree, 8 goblins emerge, bows drawn

Goblin- “Drop those weapons!!!”

Jubei- ” Wait…are you the ones who attacked this wagon!?”

Goblin- ” And what if we are??? heheheheh!!!”

Dara- ” We should be able to handle just 8 of them, more than just handle even.”

“Honestly, its a bit of a relief for goblins to be behind this. For a minute I thought we’d be swept into something more outrageous”

-“BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

DaraBOT —

Goblin-

Donna— Huh

Circe—

Jubei- ” Up there, on on that ledge!!!”

-(OST- Choujuu Sentai Liveman (instrumental))

-” SO YOU’VE FINALLY SHOWN YOURSELVES..”

“I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO BEGIN MY LEGACY,”

-Dara ” Why is this woman yelling???”

– “WHAT BETTER WAY TO START THAN TO DEFEAT UNDERHANDED BANDITS PREYING ON THE INNOCENT!!!”

“SAY YOUR PRAYERS, CAUSE YOU’RE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE FLAMING PRODIGY, THE NEVER-ENDING FIST, THE WARRIOR OF JUSTICE,”

“SAMORA!!!!”

— As Samora holds her dynamic pose, there’s a sudden quiet. Noone moves, nor stirs.

Circe— “…

Dara- “She has the garments of a monk..”

Jubei-

” So COOL!!!”

Donna—

Goblin- ” Who tha hell are you!?”

Samora- “DON’T WORRY, FOR I AM HERE!!!”

“I’LL MAKE SURE THESE BANDITS DON’T HARASS YOU GUYS EVER AGAIN!!!”

Dara-

“WHY is she pointing at us!?”

Jubei— “Huh? but we’re not bandits!”

Samora- ” DON’T TRY TO TALK YOUR WAY OUT OF THIS, I SAW YOUR ENFORCER CUT THEIR WAGON IN TWO!!!”

Goblin— ” Are you st- ahem, I mean, yes please help us!!!”

Goblin-” What tha-!?”

— Circe appears above the log the goblins are staked out behind, a hand raised

Circe- “Arms of Hadar“

-Five of the goblins are instantly flayed asunder by the spell, prompting the remaining three to run off into the woods

Circe– ” We have to catch at least one!”

-Leaping over him, Dara follows in hot pursuit of them

Dara- ” Lost track of one, but I see the other two just barely“

Goblin— ” BLARGH!!!”

Jubei- ” Gotcha!!”

” The ole’ sword bunt does the trick”

Donna- ” Oooh I wanna try that too!!”

Circe-

-Circe dodges a flying axe kick

Samora- ” YOU’LL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES, BANDIT!!!”

Circe- “We’re not-!!”

-The hexblade finds himself being forced to dodge several follow up strikes as Samora roars

Samora- ” RAAAAGHHH!!!!MY OFFENSE WON’T STOP!!!”

-Using the recoil of her attack being blocked by Circe’s blade, a crescent kick finally lands across his face

Samora— “HOW YA LIKE THAT!?”

Huh

— She notices despite her impact, Circe’s free hand is lined up right near her center of mass

Circe- “..Hellish Rebuke“

— A blast of fire erupts at Samora, As the smoke from the impact clears, she chuckles

Samora— “YOU THINK FIRE HAS ANY EFFECT ON ME? I’M A FIRE GENASI, STUPID!!!”

-Samora notices a cold build up on her striking leg

Circe— “Armor of Agathys“

— From this single exchange, both sides manage to deal equal amounts of damage to each other

Samora— ” Tch, damn!”

“You’re a mage, I knew you guys had to be sneaky!”

“Don’t think your little trick will stop me!!”

Circe—

” She’s not all talk.”

“Even with AoA, I’m not going to be able to keep pace with her”

Dara—

“Jubei, Circe needs us!”

Jubei— “Donna sure went deep into the woods, can she even hear us?”

-Circe’s blade hums with a culminating energy in the next moment, the weapon whips at Samora

Samora-“What the-I know this move, it’s booming blade!!”

Circe—

” Booming blade erects a warp of thunder energy around a target”

” I can use this moment to reposition with the others, without worrying about her pressing an attack for now”

—As Circe back away, he’s taken aback by an immediate counter punch by the genasi

Circe- !?

” Is she trying to still attack, regardless of AoA and booming blade?”

-A burst of ice forms on Samora’s hand, with it becoming partially bloodied

— At the same time, an arrow flies,striking Samora’s shoulder

Dara-

” I avoided anywhere serious, but that should make her yield”

Samora- “RAGGGGGH YOU THINK THIS IS ENOUGH TO STOP ME!?” “IT’S TIME TO USE MY SECRET TECHNIQUE!!’

Dara-

“This stubborn nature reminds me of some sort of of the creatures from the underdark… “

-Dara is suddenly swiped by a large pair of claws

Circe— ” Our fight has attracted something”

—A troll has appeared

Dara— ” A troll!!”

Samora- “Tch, one of those things!!”

” Why’s it interfering with my fight!?”

Circe— “This is likely it’s turf.”

-Jubei jumps in, slashing at the troll’s hand, followed by a bounding Donna emerging from the inner forest thicket, cleaving into the monster

Taking the opportunity, Dara drops her bow, switching to her side arm, a rapier. Her strike goes right into the monster’s heart , causing it to roar

Retracting her weapon, Dara lands near Jubei

Jubei- ” You okay?”

Dara— ” Yes. But we need to defeat it fast, its already regenerating”

Donna- ” Hey!? My slash on it is disappearing!!”

Dara— 

-Honing in on her lingering damage from it’s prior swipe, the troll lunges at the elf, knocking her along the ground

Jubei- “Dara!!”

-Circe joins the fray, with his blade failing to damage the troll’s hide

Circe- ” I’ll hold it off, take her and go!”

” It was bound to happen eventually”

“We ran into something over our heads”

—The troll focuses it’s assault against Circe as it regenerates behind it’s offense

Jubei- “We’re not just gonna leave you !!”

-The swordsman is hammer-fisted straight into the ground, taking him out of commission akin to Dara

Jubei- “Circe’s down too!?”

” And I don’t know how me and Donna are supposed to keep it from regenerating…”

—(OST-G-Gundam-Shining finger theme)

Samora- ” THIS HAND OF MINE BURNS WITH AWESOME POWER” “IT’S GLOW TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU”

-Samora shouts as she bounds up to the Troll’s face, her hand surging with fiery energy

“BURNING HANDS!!!!!!“

-A jet of flames pour out, dousing the troll face first by an upward cone of the attack

The creature collapses, smoldering in flames , beaten

Samora-” You might have tough skin, but I’ve got these burning fingers!!!”

-dusting herself off she stands triumphantly

Samora- “I bet you’re all finally understanding that I’m the real deal!!! So let’s wrap this up and get you all turned in-“

-Jubei darts towards Samora,

Samora- ” BRING IT ON!!

-Jubei passes her, to slash the troll, who, attempting to play dead to lower the genasi’s guard, was preparing to bite her head clean off

Samora- ” She saved me!?”

” Wha-whats the big idea?”

Jubei- “Phew,”

Samora- !?

-Jubei clasps Samora’s hands

Jubei-

“That move was so COOL!!!”

” The catchphrases, the slogans, the HISSATSU, it was all PERFECT!!!”

Samora- ” Y-ya really think so?”

Jubei- ” Of course!!

Samora- ” Oh, well…”

” this doesn’t change that I have to arrest all of you!”

” Drop all your weapons and let’s round em u- GACK!?”

-By the time she realizes her situation, it’s too late. Donna, breaking into a sprint, takes a leap in passing , grabbing onto Samora’s head, bringing her plummeting down face-first

Donna- ” RKO!!!!”

-Samora doesn’t get up

Jubei-

” Gee, looks like you knocked her out.”

“Are Circe and Dara okay?”

Donna- ” Oh, yea, I gave them some potions”

Circe-

” We need to work on how you administer them to allies..”

Donna-

Dara- ” I…almost drowned from her jamming it in “

Jubei-

” We took down our first troll guys!!!”

“We should celebrate!!!”

Dara- ” But, aren’t we still trying to follow those goblins?”

Jubei- ” Oh yea, thats right!”

Circe-

” We managed to secure two unconscious ones.”

“Let’s take them back with us and regroup from here.”

Dara-

” I’ll start procuring any gear they had. Donna, you want to help me?”

Donna- ” Okay!!”

-Circe stands over Samora, who’s still out like a bag of bricks, rump in the air from being wrangled into the dirt

Circe- “..Guess we’ll take her too.”
