“So, if you plan to chase down those tracks how about we play a game. Chase after those tracks, and you and your men have to dodge and avoid my arrows when you do so. Your inability to explain, I will take that as a sign of your malicious intent”

 Barry-

” Interesting game friend. But, the odds do not smile upon you.”

“I see you’ve slain one of my men, and here before you now are 10.”

Kelthorn

“Maybe not, but my victory conditions aren’t killing all of you. Just keeping you stationary here long enough for that woman to get away. So you’ve got a choice, stand and fight here. Or, chase that woman down while I get the honor of picking off your men one by one. Ready to play, boss?”

-Barry calls over to the orc investigating the tracks

 Barry- ” Barbara.”

“Take two of the men and follow the trail”

“I’m still interested in this one. I shall keep him company.”

 Barbara

“You got it chief”

-The trees begin to move, the leaves rustle with the slight sounds of the elf’s movement, light as a feather, the mark of the elven woodsmen.

-An arrow flies out from nowhere and panda into one of the bandits approaching the orc lady, as the arrow lands Kelthorn is seen for a moment before running up into the trees

-The man whelps, scrambling for cover, as soon after, a flurry of crossbow bolt fly towards his covered location

Kelthorn-

Kelthorn said as he disappeared in a haze of autumn leaves and then goes to bandage and remove the many crossbow bolts from his body and patch himself up

-As Kelthorn patches up, he hears the movement of the men from below All of them proceed to take to the trail of the woman, with the previously shot bandit staying behind to drink a potion.

Kelthorn—

“Come on Kel, keep going”

—As he runs, he holds his body, his wounds bleeding a dark crimson, much darker than normal as he tries to control his body. As he uses his last bit of energy to transform his body one last time

-He gains a significant stride following the trail of the woman, with the men below starting to become faint in the distance. He sees the opening to a road, where the woman seems to be beseeching a wagon driver for safe passage with the child

-Coming out from the woods, wounded and weak. He holds his hand up and faintly says

Kelthorn-

“Glad you got away, I held them off for a while. They were saying…saying things like you were harboring a witch. It was strange”

-As the wagon driver ushers the child into the cart, the elven woman turns to Kelthorn

 – ” Your wounds are horrid!”

“Can I offer you some potions?”

Kelthorn-

“Bit off more than I can chew….is all. No, I do not need, gah!”

“Well, if you have any to spare, I would…appreciate it”

“So, why did they claim you to be harboring a witch? Seems a bit outlandish for cutthroats to say.”

-Blackened blood seeps from it onto the ground to his embarassment.

-There is a pause in the woman’s frame as she hands Kelthorn 3 flasks of potions

 “…They are lying.”

-As he takes them, he looks down at them, and then back up to her in a bit of worry. His ears twitch and a ring of guilt pains his chest, mixed with worry and doubt

Kelthorn-

“But…there is some truth to it, isn’t there…?”

-He looks down at the potions, he inspects them quickly to see what kind of potions they are while looking and watching the woman, even taking a look at her child from behind her

 – ” ..What is your name exactly?”

Kelthorn- “Kelthorn”

-The potion slightly heals his wounds, making him feel better but it seemed to do more than just heal his wounds, it’s almost like his blood grew a lighter shade of red

” Tehisa Raevern”
