Fighter Subclass: Longarm
These fighters specialize in the use of polearms—weapons that combine reach, power, and versatility. As a Longarm, you have honed your skills to a razor’s edge, becoming a formidable adversary capable of holding the line, controlling the battlefield, and striking fear into your enemies.
Longarm Features
Polearm acumen
You can add your proficiency bonus to damage rolls with polearms. Additionally, when you take the Attack action with a polearm, you can use a bonus action to make a melee attack with the opposite end of the weapon.
Polearm tactics
At 7th level, your mastery of polearms allows you to control the battlefield. When you hit a creature with a polearm, you can push the target up to 10 feet away from you, or pull it up to 10 feet closer to you
Defensive Stance
At 10th level, as a bonus action you can enter a defensive stance that lasts until the start of your next turn. While in this stance, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against a creature that moves within your reach.
Master of the Battlefield
At 15th level, when you hit a creature with a polearm, you can choose to knock the target prone or reduce its speed to 0 until the start of your next turn.
Polearm Savant
At 18th level, your attacks with polearms can bypass a creature’s resistance or immunity to nonmagical attacks. Additionally, when you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a polearm, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll.
