Fighter Subclass: The Viking

In the harsh and frigid lands of the north, where the sea meets the ice, live the fierce and hardy warriors known as Vikings. These seafaring raiders, explorers, and traders are known for their unyielding spirit and mastery of weapons. As a Viking, you embody these traits, becoming a formidable fighter who strikes fear into the hearts of your enemies.

Viking Features

Unyielding Spirit

At 3rd level,your hit point maximum increases by an amount equal to twice your fighter level when you gain this feature. Whenever you gain a level thereafter, your hit point maximum increases by an additional 2 hit points.

Call to arms

At 3rd level, you can use your action to let out a battle cry, bolstering the resolve of your allies. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that can hear you gains temporary hit points equal to your fighter level + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), and advantage on attack rolls until the start of your next turn. You may use this feature 3 times before needing to take a short or long rest.

Shield Wall

At 3rd level , as a bonus action you can enter a defensive stance until the start of your next turn. While in this stance, if you are wielding a shield, you can add your shield’s AC bonus to any Dexterity saving throw you make against a spell or other harmful effect that targets only you. The bonus to your dex save can also be applied to two other creatures of your choice within 5 feet of you.

Instinct

At 7th level, You have honed your instincts on countless raids. You gain advantage on initiative rolls. Additionally, if you are surprised at the beginning of combat and aren’t incapacitated, you can act normally on your first turn, but only if you activate your call to arms ability as your first action.

Viking Fury

At 15th level When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon, you may treat that die roll as the average roll result for that die instead.

Shout of the Nords

At 18th level, your call to arms ability now grants temporary hit points equal to twice your fighter level + your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1)
