Kaito-

“A daytime robbery?”

“There’s three guys..each armed with some pretty nasty firearms. An Uzi and two pistols”

“I guess duty calls. Emi, can you hook me up first though?”

Emi-

“3000 yen.”

Kaito-

” Are you serious!?”

Emi-

“There’s no such thing as a freebie. Aren’t you making preserver money? I know you can afford it.”

Robber A-

” HEY YOU TWO, MONEY NOW!!! “

Kaito-

“Can you give us a minute!?”

Robber A-

“What? Are you fucking with me!? Money or I’ll shoot!!!”

Emi-

“I guess instead of money, you can just promise to deliver my answer to my clan. Deal?”

Kaito-

” Dammit..DEAL!!!”

Robber A-

“I’ll teach you to fuck with me!!!”

Through his leer, a force sends the man flying, his gun discharging towards the ceiling

His partners only take one glance to their incapacitated leader, and towards Kaito, to fully understand their situation

Robber B-

“He’s a fucking preserver!!!!”

The two men fire shots at Kaito, each only having time for a round apiece. One is swallowed up in the preserver’s movements, the other bullet meets a boundary that shatters it entirely

Robber B-

” What the hell!?”

Kaito-

” Sorry, but today wasn’t your day.”

“Well, that ended up cutting our sitdown pretty short.”

“Since I’m the only form of police here, I have to turn these guys in, sorry”

Emi-

” It’s okay.”

Robber A-

” D…Damn you!!”

Kaito-

“Hey, hey that’s not cool! And here I was going all non lethal on you guys.”

Robber A-

“You what? You didn’t even hit me you low-down…!!! What did you do to me, I had you dead to rights back there, but you threw a flashbang at me or something!”

Kaito- ???

” Oh, well uh, what can I say, must’ve been divine intervention, haha..”

Emi-

“I’m going home. Make sure to hold up your end of the deal later or you’re toast.”

Kaito-

“Yea I gotcha.”

“Preservers“

They say that Japan’s police force suffered an employment drought around the same time that they finally eased up on guideline to become a citizen here.

People who were faced with the realization that they were throwing their lives away for institutions that see them as nothing more than a number, were finally driven to vacate workspaces in large numbers Ironically, this same cohort quickly gave way to paranoia and anger when immigrants began to fill up many of the abandoned jobs The combination of job-loss and surge in immigration forced Japan to enact a task force known as Preservers.

Preservers are given grounds to conduct acts of justice on equal ground with law enforcement, as well as maintain relations between the various ethnic groups as we enter a globalized country.

One of these individuals representing the Japanese block is my cousin “The Crane”, Kaito Kimura
