💀 Perfect. Let’s add a final act:

When the 50th zombie collapses, the corpses writhe together and from the pile rises a boss zombie — a grotesque elite version, stronger than the horde.


⚔️ Final Boss: The Grave-Titan Zombie

Stats (homebrew hybrid):

  • HP: 75
  • AC: 14
  • Speed: 30 ft
  • Attacks: Multiattack (2 slams, +6 to hit, 2d8+4 bludgeoning each)
  • Special:
    • Rot Aura: All creatures within 10 ft make a DC 13 Con save or take 1d6 necrotic.
    • Undying Resilience: When reduced to 0 HP, it makes a Con save (DC 12) — on success it stands back up with 1 HP (can happen twice).

Round 17 – The Titan Rises

  • Grave-Titan bursts forth, roaring, dripping necrotic ichor.
  • Rot Aura: Clerics + fighters in range. 6 creatures make saves. 3 fail → each takes 1d6 (roll 5). Fighters down to low HP.
  • Boss Attacks:
    • Slam 1 vs sword & board fighter → hit, 13 dmg. Fighter drops.
    • Slam 2 vs War Cleric → miss (roll 10).
  • Heroes’ Turn:
    • Life Cleric: Casts Guiding Bolt at 2nd level → hit, 15 radiant dmg.
    • War Cleric: Uses mace strike → hit, 8 dmg.
    • Vengeance Paladin (2 HP): Staggers up, Divine Smite with last slot → hit, 19 dmg.
    • Fighters: Archers hit for 12 total. Great-weapons land for 14. Sword & board survivors hold line.

⚔️ Total dmg this round: 68 → Grave-Titan bloodied but still up.


Round 18 – Titan Rampage

  • Rot Aura: Another wave → 2 clerics fail, take 1d6 = 4 necrotic. Vengeance Paladin (2 HP → down again).
  • Boss Attacks:
    • Slam 1 vs Great-weapon fighter → hit, 15 dmg, fighter down.
    • Slam 2 vs Sword & board fighter → crit! 22 dmg, fighter nearly pulped.
  • Heroes’ Turn:
    • Life Cleric Healing Word Vengeance Paladin (again, 2 HP revived).
    • War Cleric smashes with mace, 7 dmg.
    • Fighters retaliate, archers + greataxe → 20 dmg combined.

⚔️ Grave-Titan drops to 0.


Undying Resilience (1st check)

  • Con save: rolls 16 → succeeds.
    💀 Grave-Titan roars back up with 1 HP, fighting on.

Round 19 – The Last Stand

  • Rot Aura: 3 fail, 1d6=6 necrotic. One archer drops. Vengeance Paladin (2 HP → down AGAIN).
  • Boss Attacks:
    • Slam vs War Cleric → hit, 11 dmg, War Cleric barely clings to life.
    • Slam vs Life Cleric → miss (roll 9).
  • Heroes’ Turn:
    • Life Cleric, furious, casts Sacred Flame. Boss fails Dex, takes 10 radiant.
    • Fighters surround, 3 attacks hit → 18 dmg.

⚔️ Grave-Titan falls again, corpse split in half.


Undying Resilience (2nd check)

  • Con save: rolls 7 → fails.

💀 This time, it stays down. The titan’s body collapses, ichor sizzling away.


🏆 Final Resolution

The Grave-Titan Zombie is destroyed after a brutal final push. The fighters and clerics stand amid carnage, surrounded by mounds of corpses, the church floor slick with blood and shadow.

  • Dead: Light Cleric, 1 Fighter.
  • Downed multiple times: Vengeance Paladin.
  • Survivors: Life Cleric, War Cleric, 5 Fighters, and the battered Paladins.

The siege is broken. The defiled church is now quiet, but forever marked by the battle.
