Perfect — let’s give the Seven Samurai a fairer shot. In this version, their katana are either blessed by shrine priests or forged from spiritual steel so they count as magical for overcoming resistances.

This removes the half-damage problem, though the Mistress still has Regeneration 20/round, legendary resistances, and her charm/bite.


🏯 Setup

Samurai Party (Lvl 3–7 Fighters)

  • Same stats, but katanas count as magical weapons.

Mistress (Base Vampire, CR 13)

  • AC 16, HP 144.
  • Regeneration 20.
  • Charm, Bite, Legendary Resistances (3), Misty Escape.

⚔️ Simulation

Round 1

  • Mistress: Charms Elder (fails save). He lowers his sword.
  • Samurai Counter:
    • Leader, Stoic Master, Veteran, Brash Youth, Trickster, Idealist all land at least one hit. Damage totals ~42.

Mistress drops to ~122 after regen.


Round 2

  • Mistress: Grapples and Bites the Brash Youth (22 dmg, max HP reduced). He reels but stays up.
  • Samurai: Furious counterattack — Leader crits, Stoic Master cuts deep, Veteran joins in. Combined ~47 dmg.

Mistress at ~95 after regen.


Round 3

  • Mistress: Tries to charm the Idealist, but he steels himself. Save succeeds.
  • Samurai: Trickster finds an opening, Elder (still charmed) abstains. Combined damage ~39.

Mistress at ~76 after regen.


Round 4

  • Mistress: Unleashes claws on Stoic Master, dealing 17 dmg.
  • Samurai: Leader and Veteran coordinate a strike (32 dmg). Brash Youth staggers but still cuts (9 dmg).

Mistress down to ~55 after regen.


Round 5

  • Mistress: Misty Steps back, snarling, and attempts another charm on Leader. He uses Indomitable to reroll and resists.
  • Samurai: Close the gap — Leader and Stoic Master slash into her, Trickster surprises her with a clean cut. ~41 dmg total.

Mistress at ~34 after regen.


Round 6

  • Mistress: Bites the Idealist, nearly killing him.
  • Samurai: Veteran lands a heavy blow, Leader follows with two slashes, Stoic Master drives his blade through her torso.

Mistress drops to 0 HP and triggers Misty Escape — transforming into black vapor.


🎭 Outcome

  • The samurai win the battlefield. They’ve driven her into mist, forcing retreat to her coffin.
  • If they know her lore (or if shrine priests guide them), they may track her to her resting place and finish her permanently.
  • If not, she will recover in 1 day and possibly return with vengeance.

Casualties / State of Party

  • Brash Youth: severely drained, max HP reduced.
  • Idealist: nearly dead from the bite, saved by his comrades.
  • Elder: Charmed, but freed once the Mistress departs.
  • Leader, Veteran, Stoic Master: wounded but standing.
  • Trickster: Lightly injured, but effective.

⚖️ Verdict: With magical blades, the Seven can win. It’s not easy, but teamwork, steel, and resolve carry the day.
