— In a foreign land, the Unknown Realms…

Bandit— “Heh, end of the line!!”

-Three men have a singular individual surrounded.

Jubei- “Oh, I think I get it now. Are you highway men? Sorry, but I’m broke.”

Bandit— “Hehheh, we got other ideas in mind”

Jubei— “What else could they want though?”

Bandit—

– From a distance, an arrow flies, striking one of the men through the head, an instant kill

Bandit— “Who tha hell!?”

— The second man looks over, just in time to see the assailant run through the center of his torso with a rapier

Unknown-“…

Bandit— ” A drow!?”

— As the elf retracts her rapier, she’s nicked by the third man upon the back of her shoulder

Unknown— “Ungh..!”

Bandit- “I’ll teach you to mess with us!”

– In a sure stepping motion, the man is slashed by Jubei. Seeing the opportunity, the elf adds her sword with Jubei’s ending the bandit decisively.

Unknown- “..

— The pair are walking further down the road

Jubei— ” So your name is Dara. Is your shoulder alright?”

Dara- ” It should heal soon enough. Thank you.”

“Though..I am curious.”

Jubei-

” Oh, my name?.It’s Jubei!”

Dara— “Oh, Jubei…”

“Well, moreso I was wondering about what you’re doing here”

“Why were you traveling these roads alone?”

Jubei—“Hm? Is that unusual around here?”

Dara-

“I take it that this isn’t your native land.”

Jubei— ” How’d you know? I’m traveling the mainland to hone my swordsmanship, so I just did what people usually do back home and walk the main roads until something happens. Hey, what’re we close to anyway?”

Dara—

“She seems awfully laid back for someone who was just attacked by bandits..”

“We’re not too far from a town called Vale.” “I was on my way there as well, so I will remain with you, if you allow.”

– Dara is suddenly embraced by Jubei. almost being taken off her feet

Jubei— ” I’d LOVE that!!!”

The pair have made a small camp for the night on grasslands. Tall shoots obscure their tent as the clear starry sky hangs overhead.

Jubei— ” The grass gives the air here such a refreshing scent. Hey Dara, you gonna sleep?”

Dara- ” I don’t really need sleep in that manner.”

Jubei — ” Huh?”

Dara— ” I’m an elf..”

Jubei—

Dara—

” I’ll…keep watch for us tonight.” “Let’s aim to leave before dawn breaks”

Jubei is lightly jostled awake by Dara

Jubei— “..Hm…?”

Dara— ” Goblins are nearby.” “We have advantage since they haven’t located us, but, they’re inching closer.We could probably try leaving undetected, or fight them here.”

Jubei— “Let’s take em”

— Four goblins skulk through the dark, one dragging a deer, as the other three have begun scanning the area.

Suddenly, the deer dragging goblinoid s struck dead by an arrow As the other three begin to become alarmed, another is quickly struck down by Jubei, emerging from the tall grass.

Drawing scimitars, the two survivors assail Jubei, who intercepts their attacks, as a second arrow flies dropping another, as Jubei strikes down the remaining one.

Jubei- “That was pretty easy yea?”

Dara- “It would seem so…”

The pair are suddenly stricken as two bolts emerge from the grass.

Jubei-

Dara-

– With Jubei wounded (5/11hp) and Dara nicked slightly (7/10hp). the two hone in on their attackers. Jubei’s blade fells one of the archers within the grass, as Dara moves in, dropping her bow in exchange for drawing her rapier to strike.

Goblin— “Heheheh”

Dara— ” It dodged!!”

-Using its nimble build to create distance, the archer peels away, taking a shot at the drow

Dara— “I can’t let it escape…”

— Jubei darts ahead from the side catching up to the archer. Her first swing is blocked by the goblin’s bow.

Goblin” Weakling!!!”

“WHA-GAUHG!!!”

— With a burst of energy, the tiefling whips around, a full 360 degrees, landing a fatal slash against the goblin. The night falls quiet.

Jubei— “Whew, I wonder what they were doing out here anyway.”

– Walking over, Dara’s gaze turns wide eyed, quizzically staring at her companion

Dara— “Are you..okay?”

Jubei- “Huh, whatcha mean?”

Dara— ” I saw you were struck by a direct arrow earlier.”

Jubei—

” I’m fine! Stuff like that heals pretty fast anyway.”

Dara- “…I see…”

As the pair sleep within a small hill crevice, Dara, deep wthin her meditative trance, opens an eye. Her eye travels to Jubei, fast asleep on the ground. Curious, Dara moves near her, to scan over her body briefly.

Dara-

” There really isn’t any trace of wound” “No, I found it!!”

Jubei-

Dara—

” There’s the hole in her clothing, but…”

–After some hesitation to ensure Jubei is actually asleep, Dara moves the hole in the cloth just enough to peer in with her keen eyesight

Dara— “…

– She carefully moves away from Jubei, to resume her meditation.

Dara–

” No blood”
